Delivery Driver Charged With DUI After Bringing Shipment To Liquor Store In New Canaan

A delivery driver was arrested after employees at an area liquor store called police, suspecting that he was intoxicated or in need of medical attention when the driver brought his shipment.

The incident happened on Saturday, Dec. 12 at approximately 1:15 p.m. in New Canaan.

Benjamin Edward Musso, of Naugatuck, 26, was alleged to be "very lethargic" and "unsteady on his feet" when New Canaan Police arrived at A-1 Cellars on Elm Street. His breath smelled of alcohol, police said. 

After failing field sobriety tests, Russo was brought to New Canaan Police Headquarters, police said, where his blood alcohol content was recorded at .350 percent. He was reportedly charged for driving while intoxicated and released after posting $300 bail.
